Jerry P. White, Professor of Sociology at Western University, is the founder and editor-in-chief of the International Indigenous Policy Journal (http://www.iipj.org). He was co-chair of the Aboriginal Policy Research Conferences held in Canada 2002, 2006, and 2009 (and Russia 2008), as well as being founding Director of the APRC(i). In the last 15 years his research has concentrated on Indigenous well-being and he has published 16 books and over 50 articles and chapters on the subject. He served in senior administrative and government positions over the last decade as well as being awarded the Pleva Professorship for excellence in teaching.
Susan Wingert holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Western University with specializations in health and well-being, and qualitative methods. She has been involved in a number of research projects focusing on Aboriginal perspectives on health and social issues at the University of Manitoba and Western University. She was part of the planning committee for the 2006 and 2009 Aboriginal Policy Research Conferences and co-edited two volumes of the Aboriginal Policy Research book series (http://thompsonbooks.com/higher-education.html). She has served as associate director of the APRC(i) since its founding. Susan is also the managing editor of the International Indigenous Policy Journal (http://www.iipj.org).
